I watched Steve quarterback some of the most exciting Patriots teams ever from my childhood through my early adult years. I think it's because of this (and his legendary toughness) that he remains my favorite Patriots player of all time. I've been fortunate enough to meet Steve a half-dozen times or so during the past 20+ years and everytime we've met he's been very kind, considerate, and down to earth - a true role model, both on and off the field. Steve played for the Patriots from 1975-90 and quarterbacked the best Patriots team ever - the 1976 Patriots who finished the season 11-3 and would have gone on to win the SuperBowl if it wasn't for the infamous roughing the passer call that cost them the playoff game against the Oakland Raiders.
